We mostly spent our time doing hikes, continuously being amazed by the vastness of the place, emphasized by the absence of people.\u00a0 A standout moment was our overnight stay near Virginia Falls, a remote gem we heard about. The 2.5-hour float plane journey to reach it carried us over an endless expanse of mountain peaks\u2014some lush green, others rugged rock, and a few cloaked in snow and ice.
