In 2014 the founder of the Luminous Landscape photographer group Michael Reichmann organized a trip to Antarctica.  I feel very lucky to have had the chance to participate in this dream opportunity.  It is the most ‘out of this world’ place I’ve been to.  I felt like I was on a different planet and was mesmerized by the colors of the ice, the reflections in the water, the unusual light and the distant sounds of whales and penguins.  The sun does not set during the summer months, and the long sunsets which gradually fade off into a deep blue night are something I have not experienced anywhere else. One evening this glacier was floating nearby and reminded me of a ship cruising along us.
