For our honeymoon, my wife Joanne and I went to Chile and Argentina.  Our first stop was El Chalten before heading further south in Patagonia. The terrain was fairly moderate but the distances were fairly long so it was interesting to stop along the way and look back at where we had come from.  On our last day in the area we did a hike to a glacial lake at the top of the towers where the wind was fierce and we were bracing ourselves against the rock faces to keep upright.  On the descent the wind had died down and the last several kilometers felt like a stroll in comparison.  I paused to turn around and look at the scene behind us.  It was amazing to see the base of the mountains where we had been a few hours prior; it was a full day, leading to a well deserved soak in the hot tub.
